Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia

Coastal city just south of Colombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia runs along the Galle Road artery with the Indian Ocean to one side and a dense urban centre with cafés, restaurants, and historic churches on the other. It is home to Sri Lanka's National Zoological Gardens, one of Asia's largest, and the Mount Lavinia beachfront draws visitors from the capital. Colombo South Teaching Hospital at Kalubowila and Ratmalana Airport are also within its boundaries.
