Fitou
Aude · France
Fitou, a small village on the Mediterranean coast of southern France's Aude department, lends its name to one of the region's oldest AOC red wines, produced from the surrounding Corbières limestone hills. The village sits beside the Salses-Leucate lagoon, within the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée regional nature park, and holds two protected historic monuments: the 1966-listed Chapelle Saint-Aubin and a château recorded since 1948.
