Imtan

Highland village in the southern part of Jabal al-Druze in Syria's Suwayda Governorate, Imtan sits at elevation and carries a history stretching back thousands of years, with Roman-era remains still visible in the area. The village played a role in the Great Syrian Revolt and is said to have been the site of a decisive battle in the Seleucid period. Its population is predominantly Druze, with a Christian minority.
