This Riffian town in northern Morocco's Rif Mountains, Imzouren sits a short distance from the coast near Al Hoceima and draws European visitors to its cafés, terraces, and active nightlife scene. The town was close to the epicentre of the February 2004 Al Hoceima earthquake, a magnitude 6.3 event that killed at least 564 people and wounded more than 250.
