Kalloni
Λέσβος, Λήμνος · Greece
A small town on the water in west-central Lesbos, Kalloni sits on a fertile plain and serves as the seat of the West Lesbos municipality. It has a disproportionate number of cafés, restaurants, and historic churches for its size, and the surrounding mountains are visible from the waterfront. Known as Kalonya under Ottoman rule, it joined Greece in 1912 and remains the second-largest commercial centre on the island.
