Kaski

Nepal

Ward of Pokhara metropolitan city set close to the Annapurna range, Kaskikot — commonly called Kaski — holds the ruins of a palace built by the rulers of the old Kaski principality, one of 24 modest kingdoms in western Nepal before unification. The ruler Kulmandan Shah established his kingdom here, and his descendant Drabya Shah went on to found Gorkha. The area also contains several temples, including one from which Himalayan peaks are visible.
