Khashuri
Georgia
A railway town in central Georgia shaped by the 19th-century Poti–Tbilisi line, Khashuri sits on the Suramula river and serves as a junction for routes toward Borjomi and Akhaltsikhe. The town holds an 18th-century tower, two historic churches dedicated to John the Baptist and St. Marine, a local history museum, and a folk theatre. Close to mountains and within a short drive of water, it functions today as a transit hub and municipal centre for the surrounding region.
