Laitila
Finland
Known across Finland as the "egg capital," Laitila is a pocket-sized town in Southwest Finland whose poultry farms and annual egg festival (Laitilan Munamarkkinat) give it an identity unlike most towns its size. The local egg producer Munax has built demand reaching as far as South Korea. The villages of Untamala and Suontaka and the farmyard of Kauppila are among built environments of national interest in the area.
