Lihula, a compact town in western Estonia's Pärnu County, holds a cluster of historic features in a compact centre: the ruins of a medieval castle, a manor ensemble whose main building houses the Lihula Museum, and a church. A heritage protection zone covers the castle remains, the manor complex, and the historic town core. A monument to the Estonian War of Independence also stands in the town.
