Logatec

This small Slovenian town in Inner Carniola, midway between Ljubljana and Postojna, Logatec sits on a karst field with several notable cave features in and around the settlement, including the Gradiščnica cave and a sinkhole called Jačka at the town's centre. The annual Franja cycling marathon passes through, and a lime-tree avenue known as Napoleon's Avenue meets the town at a park with a war memorial by sculptor Batič. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
