Mölndal
Sweden
This walkable town on the water within the Gothenburg urban area on Sweden's west coast, Mölndal takes its name from the mills that stood along the rapids of the Mölndalsån river from the medieval period onward. The 18th-century estate Gunnebo Castle and Gardens is the town's main historic draw, while Fässberg Church sits on a hilltop above the surrounding area. The harness-racing track Åbytravet adds a further local fixture.
