Paulista

Paulista, a coastal city just north of Recife in Pernambuco, stretches along roughly 14 kilometres of Atlantic shoreline, with the Maria Farinha beach area home to Veneza Water Park, one of Brazil's largest water parks. The city is also the birthplace of footballer Rivaldo. Its Atlantic Forest reserves make ecological tourism a secondary draw alongside the beaches, and the wider Recife metropolitan region includes UNESCO World Heritage sites.
