Playas del Coco

This beach town on Costa Rica's North Pacific coast in Guanacaste province, Playas del Coco is the largest community on the Gulf of Papagayo and one of the country's more developed coastal destinations, with hotels, restaurants, banks, and tour operators all within reach. The area is a base for water activities including diving, sport fishing, sailing, and surf tours to Roca Bruja and Ollies Point. Several other beaches — Ocotal, Playa Hermosa, and Playa Panama — lie nearby, and the Guanacaste airport is a short drive away.
