Podgorica
Црна Гора · Montenegro
Montenegro's capital sits where the Ribnica and Morača rivers meet, backed by mountain terrain and just north of Lake Skadar, with the Adriatic coast within easy reach. Podgorica carries two identities: the ancient Roman settlement of Doclea and the Ottoman-era Stara Varoš sit alongside a lively café and restaurant scene and a growing tech economy. Known as Titograd from 1946 to 1992, the city is also home to the Millennium Bridge, the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, and the Montenegrin National Theatre.
