Pornainen
Finland
Once nicknamed "Hollywood of Finland" by the film industry for its long history as a filming location — stretching from the 1930s to the present — Pornainen is a little rural municipality in Finland's Uusimaa region, spread along the Mustijoki river. The village of Laukkoski drew celebrated figures including actress Regina Linnanheimo and writers Mika Waltari and Juhani Aho as summer residents. Rolling countryside and rocky river-valley landscapes define the terrain.
