Pyla
Cyprus
Pyla is the only village in Cyprus where Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots have continued living side by side since the island's 1974 division, making it one of four communities situated within the UN-controlled buffer zone — the Green Line — between the occupied north and the free south. Administered by the Republic of Cyprus with UN assistance, the village has three Orthodox churches and a mosque, and sits along Larnaka Bay.
