A walkable town on the Tisa River in western Ukraine's Zakarpattia Oblast, Rakhiv sits higher than any other town in the country and serves as a base for the Carpathian mountains nearby. The centre has a real café and restaurant scene, and the wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
