A tiny Pyrenean village in Haute-Garonne that punches well above its size in historic architecture: the Cathedral of Notre-Dame has been a protected monument since 1840, and the commune holds several other listed structures including Gallo-Roman ramparts, ancient ruins, and medieval town walls. A member of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France association, it sits in mountain country with Natura 2000 protected natural areas nearby and was once an episcopal see of the Comminges region.
