Skaudvilė
Lithuania
A small town in Lithuania's Samogitia region, Skaudvilė sits along the Ančia river and holds two wooden churches — a Catholic church dating to 1797 with a 19th-century bell tower, and a Lutheran church — alongside a local history museum, a sculpture park, and an art gallery. A monument to the Samogitian duke Algminas and memorials to those killed in both World Wars add further historical texture to the town centre.
