Šumskas
Lithuania
A small town in southeast Lithuania, close to the Belarusian border, Šumskas holds a late 18th-century church of St. Michael the Archangel (built 1789), a former Dominican monastery, and a 19th-century manor estate with a park. The town sits near the end of the Vilnius–Šumskas road, which continues into Belarus, giving it a quiet frontier character.
