A little hamlet in the Corbières massif of southern France's Aude department, Termes sits among limestone hills that form the transition between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees, drained by several streams including the Libre and the Sou. The commune holds two protected historic monuments — the church of Notre-Dame, listed in 1951, and a château classified in 1989 — and lies within three Natura 2000 natural heritage zones covering the high Corbières and the Orbieu valley.
