Tullamore

Tullamore Dew whiskey has been made in or near this County Offaly town since 1829, and a new distillery opened close by in 2014 to bring production back locally. The county town of Offaly sits on the Grand Canal, navigable by leisure boats all the way from Dublin to the Shannon, and has a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size. The annual Tullamore Show, an agricultural and livestock event held each August, draws visitors from across the region.
