A café- and restaurant-dense town in Portugal's Vinho Verde wine country, Vila Nova de Famalicão sits at the southern edge of the Minho province and is home to the house-museum of the writer Camilo Castelo Branco, part of a network of thirteen museums that also includes the Portuguese Centre of Surrealism, the National Railway Museum at Lousado, and the Textile Industry Museum of the Ave Basin.
