Vilkija
Lithuania
Sitting on the north bank of the Nemunas — Lithuania's most significant river — Vilkija is a small town a short drive from Kaunas with river views and a modest collection of historic landmarks. These include a neo-Gothic church of St. George built in 1908, 19th-century chapel-columns in the old cemetery, and a museum dedicated to folklorist Antanas Juška, who lived here in the 1860s.
