Višnjićevo

The village of Višnjićevo, in Serbia's Šid municipality, takes its name from Filip Višnjić, the celebrated Serbian epic poet who lived and died here. His grave and monument in the village cemetery have been protected as a cultural landmark since 1997. The village also holds the Church of St. Nicholas, part of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Srem, and sits within the Srem district close to the mountains.
