Ye (Yecheng) is an ancient city site in Hebei's Linzhang County whose ruins span the banks of the Zhanghe River, straddling the border with Henan province. First built during the Spring and Autumn period, the city rose to prominence as the capital of multiple dynasties — including Later Zhao, Eastern Wei, and Northern Qi — and served as Cao Cao's political and military base during the Three Kingdoms period. Listed as a national heritage site since 1988, the area continues to yield significant archaeological finds from the Han and Wei-Jin eras.
