Zdolbuniv

This town in western Ukraine's Rivne Oblast, Zdolbuniv has been a significant railway junction since the railway's arrival in the second half of the 19th century transformed it into a major transport hub for the Volhynia region. It is also home to Ukraine's oldest cement plant, founded in 1884 and still operating. First recorded in 1497 as Dolbuniv, the town received city status in 1903.
