Chenggong

A coastal township on Taiwan's Pacific-facing east coast, Chenggong sits directly on the water with a working fish harbour at its centre and a café and restaurant scene in its compact downtown core. The Kuroshio Current running offshore makes it the main fishing hub along the Hualien–Taitung coast, with catches including tuna, marlin, and mahi-mahi. The Sanxiantai rock formation and the East Coast National Scenic Area are among the natural draws nearby, with mountains rising close behind the town.
