France Aude

Floure

Aude · France

A small wine-country hamlet in the Aude, set along the River Aude on the edge of the Corbières massif — the limestone uplands that bridge the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. The journalist, writer, and winemaker Gaston Bonheur (1913–1980) owned the local castle and is buried in the village cemetery. The wider area falls within a Natura 2000 conservation zone, and the medieval city of Carcassonne lies nearby.
