Khayelitsha

Khayelitsha is a large and fast-growing township on the Cape Flats in Cape Town's Western Cape, situated along False Bay with mountain views and close to Cape Town International Airport. Its name comes from the Xhosa for "New Home." Made up of more than twenty areas ranging from established neighbourhoods built during the apartheid era to newer informal settlements, it offers township tourism experiences within easy reach of the wider Cape Town region.
