Lohals
Denmark
A modest harbour town on the northern tip of Langeland island in southern Denmark, Lohals has been developing as a recreational destination since the 1990s, with a marina, cafés, and restaurants along the waterfront. The harbour itself dates to the late 1850s and was built for cargo ships and fishing vessels; a lighthouse from 1893 still stands in town. The island's main centre, Rudkøbing, lies roughly half an hour's drive south.
