Montgomery
TLL41 · United Kingdom
Montgomery, a pocket-sized Welsh Marches town in Powys sitting close to the England–Wales border, is anchored by a castle begun in 1223 and a parish church started four years later. The Iron Age hill fort of Ffridd Faldwyn lies to the northwest, while the town also holds the Old Bell Museum, a stretch of Offa's Dyke Path, and the curiosity of the Robber's Grave. It is the historic county town of Montgomeryshire, to which it gives its name.
