Seyðisfjörður
Iceland
A small fjord-side village in East Iceland known for its arts scene — anchored by the LungA Art Festival and LungA School — and as Iceland's only ferry port with a direct link to mainland Europe via the Faroe Islands and Denmark. Surrounded by mountains rising above 1,000 metres, the village sits at the innermost point of its fjord, with puffin colonies and the ruins of former settlements accessible further out along the water. The mountain pass road over Fjarðarheiði connects it to the Ring Road.
