Vače

Vače, a pocket-sized settlement in central Slovenia's Municipality of Litija, is known primarily as the site where the Vače situla was discovered — an Iron Age bronze vessel that ranks among the most significant archaeological finds from the region. The hamlet sits in mountain terrain in the traditional Upper Carniola area, and the nearby village of Slivna marks the geometric centre of Slovenia.
