Viekšniai
Lithuania
A compact Lithuanian town on the right bank of the Venta river, Viekšniai holds a 19th-century water mill, two museums — one dedicated to Alexander Griškevičius, a pioneer of aviation in Lithuania, and another to pharmacist Vincentas Aleksandravičius — and two historic churches: the 1854 Catholic church of St. John the Baptist and an 1875 Orthodox church of St. Sergius of Radonezh. The town also serves as the base for the Venta Regional Park directorate.
