Whitchurch
TLG22 · United Kingdom
Claimed to be the oldest continuously inhabited town in Shropshire, Whitchurch is a heritage-dense market town in the north of the county, close to the Welsh and Cheshire borders, with a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size. The composer Sir Edward German and illustrator Randolph Caldecott both lived here, and the town centre holds a concentration of listed historic buildings within easy walking distance.
