This gateway town to the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park — a UNESCO-recognised geopark valued for its geology — Cabra sits on the route between Córdoba and Málaga in Andalusia and is counted among the White Towns of the region. Olive cultivation dominates the surrounding land, with local oil falling under the Baena Denominación de Origen, and the town lies along both the Mozarabic Way of St James and the Caliphate Route. Its compact centre has a café and restaurant scene, and the town has ancient roots stretching back through Roman, Visigoth, and Islamic rule.
