Santa Cruz La Laguna

This small village on the northern shore of Lago de Atitlán in Guatemala's Sololá department, with mountain terrain rising behind it and a handful of cafés and restaurants that make it a workable base for exploring the lake. The area is home predominantly to Kaq'chikel Maya people, and the municipality's partial access is by boat across the lake rather than by road alone.
