Tullyallen
Ireland
A village in County Louth's Boyne Valley, Tullyallen sits within reach of some of Ireland's most significant prehistoric and medieval sites: the Newgrange, Knowth, and Dowth passage tombs, the ruins of Mellifont Abbey, Monasterboice monastery, and the Battle of the Boyne site. The village's Irish name, Tulaigh Álainn, means "beautiful hill," and it lies in the historic Barony of Ferrard, a short distance north-west of Drogheda.
